2007-2008 Faculty Grants Benefit Children, Families & Communities in Tampa Bay Area [05/24/2007]
Approximately $100,000 in grant dollars has been awarded to USF faculty for projects that foster greater community engagement. Eight new research grants of almost $100,000 were recently awarded by USF’s Collaborative for Children, Families and Communities for the 2007-2008 year. Recipients receive up to $15,000 for projects that involve collaboration between two or more university disciplines as well as a partnership with a community organization. Co-sponsored by the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County, the Faculty Grant Program is a core activity of the USF Collaborative for Children, Families and Communities.
