Faculty Grant Applications Desired [02/05/2006]

Learn keys to winning Faculty Grant awards for community-based projects on March 1st or 3rd.

Seed money to start new university-community partnerships is available from the USF Collaborative this spring.  Learn all about these Faculty Grants, now in their ninth year of developing university-community partnerships, at one of our information sessions:

Wednesday, March 1st, 11:30am – 12:30pm at the Children’s Board or

Friday, March 3rd, 2 – 3pm, on the USF Tampa campus in MHC 1503.

The Collaborative and the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County provide these funds for either (a) community-based research (maximum $15,000) or (b) community-based/service learning course development (maximum $5,000). Priority goes to proposals for projects benefitting young children (0-8 years), early adolescence (10-14 years), resilience and protective factors, social capital and/or East Tampa.

Download a copy of the RFP from the Collaborative Grants page of this website, and take a look at previously-funded projects under Research. Applications are due 12pm Friday, April 7, 2006.  For additional information or to receive a copy by mail, contact the USF Collaborative for Children, Families and Communities at 813-974-7318 or by email at rpuddy@usfcollab.usf.edu.
