by Judi Jetson
The USF Collaborative is offering summer research experiences for high school students and incoming freshmen interested in studying the roles youth-adult relationships can play in helping today’s youth succeed and thrive in our community. The interns selected will define and conduct their own research projects, with guidance from USF faculty and graduate students, meeting and working with key people that help shape the experiences of youth in Tampa Bay. Interns will attend meetings, investigate programs and activities promoting positive youth development, do research, write articles and make presentations. Internships begin June 9, 2008 and last for 8 weeks. Interested youth must complete an application and essay, and provide two letters of recommendation by April 21st. For more information, or to view the application in pdf form, visit http://usfcollab.fmhi.usf.edu/PDF/2008-internflier.pdf or contact the Collaborative at 813-974-7318.
