The Impact of Housing Reform on an Urban Neighborhood [read more about it] In cooperation with the Homeless Coalition and Urban League, this study will evaluate the impact of housing program reform on former residents of public housing. Federal housing policy calls for the demolition of aging and blighted public housing, and this project will examine what happened to the people moved out of the Ponce de Leon and College Hill complexes. The study will identify those former residents who find better homes as a result of the Hope VI program, how the relocation process actually works, and which residents need more assistance and what type of assistance would be most helpful. |
