Personal Info:

Having received a National Health Service Corp Scholarship for medical school, Dr. Lilly practiced as a Pediatrician in Bethel Alaska from 1990 to 1994. While in Bethel, Dr, Lilly functioned as the service chief for pediatrics and the medical staff president for the local hospital. At the conclusion of her service commitment, Dr. Lilly came to the University of South Florida to obtain her MPH in Public Health and to begin her academic career in pediatrics. Dr. Lilly completed her MPH in the fall of 1998. During her years at USF, she has worked for the Division of Child Development as part of the Early Intervention Program and currently functions as the Division Chief. She has also functioned as one of the core faculty in the pediatric residency program and as a clinician in the general pediatrics division. In addition, Dr. Lilly serves as the medical director of the Children's Medical Services Pediatric Under Nutrition clinic. Dr. Lilly continues to be active in the Public Health arena with a strong interest the area of growth and development, children with special health care needs and community pediatrics. She serves as a volunteer board member for Healthy Families and Healthy Start in Hillsborough County. Dr. Lilly also functions as the faculty supervisor for the Rural Rotation in the USF Pediatric Residency Program. More recently, Dr. Lilly has become an active member of the Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. From 2000 to 2010, she was named as the editor of the Florida Pediatrician, a statewide newsletter for the Florida Pediatric Society. She was also elected to the Alternate District Representative position for District V of the Florida Pediatric Society (Florida Chapter of the AAP) and assumed duties as the District Representative in December of 2001. Finally, Dr. Lilly is active in the Hillsborough County Pediatric Society as the President as of December 2001.
