- Training - As a management consultant, I directed the staff development and training programs for employees designed from analyses of needs assessments and systems problems, and developed and administered in-house training events. I was responsible for training sessions in the areas of personal growth, casework management, family assessment, children and families pre-service, communication, and client service while maintaining regularly scheduled sessions in New Employee Orientation and Effective Management. I have also developed a system to track training and pre-service requirements for Children & Families Staff. As the liaison with the Professional Development Centres, I worked on curriculum revision of training programs and coordinated pre-service training delivery. I worked with Operations Program Administrators and supervisors as well as district administration to develop curriculum and meet specified needs of the district. I have worked with USF to implement the part time MSW program.
- Program Management - As the District Program Manager, I supervised 7 program areas, covering 5 counties in West Central Florida, initiating uniform control systems and maximizing efficiency of large capital outlays. I was responsible for a staff of over 200 and directed program planning and implementation in the areas of Adult and Aging, Alcohol, Drug Abuse, and Mental Health, Children Youth and Families, Developmental Services, Health, Children's Medical Services, and Economic Services where we administered budgets and supervised contract negotiations. I was also responsible for overseeing a budget in excess of $5 million in program funds.
- Problem Solving and Program Implementation - As Client Support Supervisor and Child Support Enforcement Supervisor, I designed and implemented new programs in Child Support Enforcement, Refugee Assistance, and developed handbooks used statewide for Intern and Volunteer programs.
