Dr. Shannon Suldo graduated with a Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of South Carolina in 2004. She completed a pre-doctoral internship in Pediatric Psychology at the Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is currently completing post-doctoral clinical work in the School District of Hillsborough County, where she provides comprehensive mental health services (individual, group, and family counseling; teacher consultation; classroom management) to adolescents identified as having emotional and/or behavioral disorders. Her research interests include the developmental course of life satisfaction during youth, positive indicators of children's psychological well-being, strength-based assessment and interventions, relationship between parenting behaviors and adolescents' mental health, the effect of participation in rigorous high school curricular programs on students' social-emotional functioning, and the provision of school-based mental health services, including evidence-based ecological interventions for students with emotional and behavioral disorders.
