Dr. Allen has been an Assistant Professor of Social Work at USF St. Petersburg since 2003. Before that she taught at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. She received her MSW from Smith College School for Social Work in 1978 and her Ph.D. in Social Welfare from Case Western Reserve University – Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences in 2004. Dr. Allen has over 20 years of direct practice experience in mental health, specializing in services for families with young children.
