About this event: Dr. Peter Levine, the Director of the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Education(CIRCLE) http://www.civicyouth.org/ and author of the book entitled The Future of Democracy, will be speaking at Freedom High School on January 31, 2008. Please join us for an evening of thought provoking ideas on civic engagement and democracy as Dr. Levine kicks off Project ELECT with a presentation on Youth Civic Engagement. Teachers, students, and members of the community are encouraged to attend this event as an opportunity for both personal and professional development in civics education.
